Community Guidelines and Acceptable Use Policy

During setup you are asked who you want to be matched with, and you may choose women, men, both, no preference, or people outside those categories. The answer is a filter, not a preference signal — it removes people from your pool and removes you from theirs.

An age band is applied as well, in both directions, so that two adults with a large age difference are not introduced to each other as strangers who will then meet in person. It is not adjustable and it is not something premium removes.

These two filters exist for exactly one reason: an introduction between strangers should not put anybody in a room they would not have chosen. They are not a statement about anybody, and answering them is not an invitation to anybody. Restating this because it has to be said once: a filter that matches you with somebody is not an expression of interest by them.

No sexual or suggestive content anywhere on the platform: not in photographs, not in messages, not in video diaries, not in feed posts, and not in a username.

Any sexual content involving a minor, or any attempt to contact, groom or solicit a minor, is reported to the appropriate authorities and to the relevant child-safety organisations, and the device is banned. There is no appeal path that ends in the account being returned.

If you believe a minor is using the Service, report it immediately. It goes to a person, not to an automated queue.

Use your own photographs, of you, taken recently. The profile is three photographs and no written description, deliberately: a stolen photograph is one lie that can be checked against two others, and a free-text biography is an unlimited number of lies, rewritten until one of them works.

No impersonation of another person, real or invented. No accounts run on behalf of somebody else. No misstating your age, in either direction.

One person, one account. Do not create a second account to get around a block, a ban, a cooldown or a filter.

No automation, bots, scripts or scraping. No reverse engineering, no tampering with the application, and no circumventing a limit, a filter, a cooldown, a ban or the age check.

No using the Service to collect data about members, to build a dataset, or to train a model.

No probing, load-testing or attacking our infrastructure. If you find a security flaw, report it through a ticket marked as a security matter, and give us a reasonable time to fix it before telling anybody else. We will not pursue somebody who does that in good faith.

Depending on what happened, we may: remove content; restrict a feature; end a match and prevent a rematch; suspend an account; terminate an account; or ban a device.

Some breaches end an account on the first instance with no warning: romantic or sexual pursuit, harassment, threats, sexual content, anything involving a minor, soliciting money, and impersonation.

Other breaches get a warning first, where a warning is likely to be enough and nobody was put at risk.

We look at context. Two people who agreed between themselves to do something the rules did not anticipate are not the same as one person doing something to another person who did not agree to it, and the difference is usually obvious in the report.

These Guidelines form part of the Terms of Service. Where they change materially, you are told in the application and asked to accept the new version before you continue.
