If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you normally have fourteen days to withdraw from a contract made at a distance, without giving a reason and without a penalty. A subscription bought in an application or on a website is such a contract.
There is one exception and it is the one that applies here. Where you ask for the service to be supplied immediately, and you acknowledge that doing so means losing the right to withdraw once supply has begun, the right ends when it begins. Premium is that situation: it is active the moment the payment clears, because a subscription that waits fourteen days to start is not one anybody would buy.
That waiver only counts if you were actually asked for it, so here is the position stated in the direction that favours you. Where the checkout asks you to confirm both things, that you want access immediately and that you understand the fourteen day right ends once you have it, then agreeing is what ends the right, and declining simply means not completing the purchase with nothing charged. Where you were NOT asked, the right was not given up, and you keep the full fourteen days from the date of purchase.
We would rather write that down than rely on you not knowing it. If you bought Premium and were never shown that confirmation, you can cancel within fourteen days under this section and the paragraph below about proportionate use is the only thing that limits what comes back.
Where you cancel within fourteen days having already used Premium, we may keep an amount in proportion to what you used before cancelling. That is what the law permits and it is not a fee. Where you cancel within fourteen days and have not used it at all, you get the whole payment back.
To use this right, write to support@inaff.app saying you are cancelling, with the date and the amount. No particular wording is needed. We confirm in writing and refund to the original payment method, without charging you for doing it, normally within fourteen days of being told.
