the features we never charge for.

Everything on this page is free, on every tier, permanently. Paywalling safety would mean pricing who gets to be safe, and we are not going to build that.
emergency exit
Shake the phone three times during a quest and the app silently opens an exit screen — no sound, no animation, nothing visible to the person across the table.
From there you can send your live location to an emergency contact. We pre-fill the message; you press send. We never send anything as you.
app lock
Turn it on and inaff asks for your fingerprint, your face, or your phone’s PIN every time it opens. Not just on a cold start — handing someone an unlocked phone with inaff sitting in the background still shows them the lock screen.
The lock screen deliberately tells you nothing. No match name, no unread count, no “two new messages”. A lock screen that reports what is behind it has not locked anything.
What it does not do is hide that inaff is installed. Anyone looking at your phone can see the app and see this lock screen. That is the honest limit of it, and it is the reason the rest of this page exists.
quick exit
A red EXIT sits on every screen. One tap leaves inaff for a weather page, and on Android it also drops inaff out of the recent-apps list entirely.
It is a visible button rather than only a gesture on purpose. The shake works and it is still there, but a gesture only helps someone who remembered it exists and can perform it, and neither of those is a given at the moment it is needed.
privacy screen
Blanks inaff in the app switcher, so the card sitting next to every other app does not show whatever you were reading.
On by default. It costs nothing and its absence quietly undoes the app lock.
discreet notifications
No names and no message text on your lock screen. A notification arrives saying inaff and nothing else; the actual message is there once the phone is open.
It deliberately does not hide the notification completely. That sounds stronger and is worse — you would get no sign anything had arrived until you unlocked, and you would miss the quest.
quiet exit
Leave a quest without a reason, a report, or an explanation to the other person. They are told it ended. They are not told why, and you are never asked to justify it.
what we removed, and why
inaff used to be able to open as a working calculator, unlocked with a code. It is gone.
The App Store does not permit an app to present itself as something it is not, so that feature could never have run on iPhone. We could have kept it on Android alone — Google allows it — and we decided not to. One product that can hide on one phone and not the other cannot be described honestly: this page would have been right for half the people reading it and wrong for the other half, and the half getting it wrong are the ones relying on cover they do not have.
The app lock is what replaced it. It is genuinely weaker in one specific way and we would rather write that down than let you find out: a lock screen tells whoever is holding your phone that something is being kept from them. A calculator did not.
what we tell you to do anyway
Meet in public for the first few quests. Tell someone where you are going. Keep your own transport. Do not move to another app before quest five — that is when it stops being ours to help with.
These are not disclaimers. They are the parts that actually work.
QUESTIONS
Open a ticket at /support and say it is a legal matter. It goes straight to a person — the automatic first line is not allowed to touch legal, press, or data-access requests. There is no email address, for us or for you: a legal question sent by mail arrives with no case file and no way to prove later what was asked or when.
